I'm not commenting on solid bushes because i haven't tried them
I can only comment on what I'm using and they work well for me!
The setup you go for is all down to what you want the car to do!

The solid bushes on my E36 introduced a little more noise, as did the front lower arm bushes when I put powerflex ones on it, there we go I said it and experienced it myself without reading it on the internet, that said it was on an E36 so it may well be the case, although a lot of the bushes are similar things do improve as models change.

I went from standard to powerflex on my Csl and noticed zero difference tbh. I then fitted solid spherical bushes and didn't note any extra intrusion

I however never used my Csl daily. But it does give the car a better feel, less vague.

Majority fit aftermarket loud exhausts so a solid rear trailing arm will likely not be noticeable.

Everyone as different though, horses for courses.

If/when my limiter kit gave up I'd go solid. However, it hasn't in 50k miles so who knows when that'll be.
