my car came with kw's and it was really hard and really low backed off all the damping still to hard admitedly did't touch the spring adjustment but im sure that is just height anyway, could'nt get on with it changed back to standard instantly transformed it into a nicer car more planted and safer feeling car would go intrax as it is suppose to be softer than oe but cant justify the price

Have you been on track with them yet Daz?

You'll have the same FR Geo as me I'd think, but can you remember what Bump & Rebound settings you've got yours on?

No not yet , but I was working on the idea that std I was happy on road and track , but could drive faster as I got more confident ... so getting them set right for the road ( fast road )...and then trying them on track , although when I first did all this , I was not planning to be racing in the CSL cup , so will be on track on full race set up in my track car most of time , for testing , qualy and race .. so my road car will prob do less track days as a result , and poss only the odd one , and nurburgring etc , so makes sense for me to have the perfect set up for road really ... for what I need day to day

Which is how it is now with Cups , will check what settings the guys have done , I know lazy , but im up there so much thats its just easier for thorneys guys to tweak and adjust as I need

They'll see ££signs every time you come in Daz - must be one of their best customers!

If you dont mind, keep a note of the settings and PM them my way when you get the chance.

Thanks

they are certainly a bit more directional and tramline slightly but they do suit the car on road when you get used to them

They are definitely the best tyres for the CSL, road-wise. PS2 and Contis (the only alternatives I've tried) don't work as well. The PS2 are close but not quite there, and the Contis are rubbish (Conti 2 that is).

Dave, once you understand how the Cups work you won't look back. There's absolutely no way I'd run any other tyre on mine. I have standard suspension but maybe your KW's aren't ideally set up for you.

As my car is just for fun and only comes out for more serious driving , I set my pressures 26psi cold. Once the temps are in them they are awesome on road. But as a daily driver, if your doing quite a few miles, it's a waste to run Cups. Unless your commute takes in the Evo triangle or similar.
