thanks for all the comments, will get it back out on the road and test it again. could of been the traction control cutting in i guess as it was damp/wet when it happened

i get slur if i change at 4k or 5k but not at full tilt which i find strange

Yes sure is! I always lift a little on gear changes but when going out for a blast sport on S6 and foot to the floor and never lift and its fine!

The trick is NOT to lift on changes. If you do, the self learn element of the software gets used to relaxed changes and slurring gets worse.
I use the box in S1 to warm up and keep and even throttle on changes up the box. When the engine oil is up to temp I move to the desired mode for my drive (usually S6 ![]() ![]()

there's a lot to learning this SMG gearbox. I'll try what you suggest Alex
![]() I usually use S3, but sometimes 4/5 is better. will try the technique of warming up in 1 then switching. |

Really useful info guys , I dont lift , and mines fine all the time , but been told (and ignored them) !
![]() Mate of mine does lift and is having issues with his so makes sense reading this ... just winding him up telling him he cant drive properly ![]()

I've never lifted on shifts.
I'm not even sure it actually "adapts" to driving style in sequential mode, or if that's another forum myth..(?) The regular M3 SMG doesn't start slurring like the CSL one does, even if you drive like grandma. |
