I searched for a facelift E46 M3 for many months as I wanted one of the rarer colours rather than the usual grey, silver and black examples you always see. I remembered the stunning Laguna Seca Blue colour back when the E46 M3 was originally launched so I set out to find a clean, low mileage example.

I eventually found a completely standard car for sale at Lloyd BMW of Carlisle and it looked great with matching LSB leather! The car has the desirable 6 speed manual gearbox as well as standard 18” alloy wheels that make for a more comfortable ride and it also benefits from the rare sunroof option. Prior to my purchase, Lloyd BMW carried out an Inspection II Service, Brake Fluid Service and M Mobility re-charge. New brake discs and pads were fitted all round and the alloy wheels were refurbished.

Covering just over 7k miles in my ownership, it still has low mileage for its age having only recently passed the 50k miles mark. As such it is in excellent condition both inside and out save for a few minor marks. I have had a few sensible modifications carried out which enhance the car’s handling and exhaust note. Reassuringly, a BMW Warranty is running on the monthly payment option and this can be transferred.

Exterior:
The LSB exterior paint is in very good condition save for some minor marks and a handful of stone chips to the front bumper and wing mirrors. There is no evidence of rust to the bodywork including the wheel arches which I have cleaned recently (see photos below). There is evidence of a very minor impact to the rear bumper which has left a slight indentation and a small area of lacquer peel below one of the PDC sensors (shown in photo below).

Interior:
The LSB leather and interior is in excellent condition with no fading/damage and very few marks apart from some minor wear evidenced on the driver’s seat bolster (as shown in photo below). The carpets/mats, headlining, dash and steering wheel are also in excellent condition with only minor marks. The car has not been smoked in to my knowledge.

Alloy Wheels and Tyres:
The staggered 18” Style 67 alloy wheels are in good condition with no dings or kerb rash. There is one mark to the front right wheel caused by a tyre fitter and some isolated areas of paint bubbling between spokes. Pirelli PZero tyres are fitted all round: fronts have approximately 4-5mm tread remaining, rears have approximately 2-3mm tread remaining. New OEM centre caps have been fitted to the wheels.

Summary:
My M3 is in excellent condition and is maintained regardless of cost with around £5k having been spent on it over the past year (including warranty work). I am meticulous with all of my cars and clean them almost every week! In perfect working order, it is sensibly modified and drives superbly and in my opinion is one of the best examples available on the market. Whilst there is a gap in service history prior to my ownership, the car was extensively prepared by BMW prior to its sale to me and it benefits from continued BMW Warranty cover for total peace of mind. It has a clean bill of health having just passed it’s latest MOT Test and has had the passenger airbag recall work undertaken as well as having had a boot floor and sub-frame check completed in the past 6 months. This car wants for nothing and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.

I have priced my car fairly to reflect it’s excellent condition and low mileage. The original exhaust and springs are also included in the price. I hadn't planned to sell so soon and am only selling due to a change in job which means I no longer require a second car. The car is located in Cornwall; test drives only with proof of insurance.
