Default Bugger

Just pulled up ( well at 2.30 ) at a customers site, and power steering starts to vibrate, within a few mins, have NO steering at all, like concrete

Car now dumped in customers car park, first tech comes out after an hour and confirms pipe has split ( well from what we can see ) and now waiting for trailer / low loader to collect and recover to dealership ( cosmic )

Arranging hire car hopefully on the warranty, why on a friday !!!

Sitting twiddling thumbs... not looking forward to a ravenscroft lorry pulling my splitters onto the back !! and then hopefully it gets back to sytner before they close at 6 ... hmmm doubt that as it's due to me in 30 ( basingstoke to ascot on a friday in a truck ) ..

so guess it's spending the night away !

Thats bloody unlucky timing mate

Was it making any groaning noises for any length of time before???

Have you been a bad boy? must be karma or something, as I'm a saint and mine split on my cadwell track day on the way home, but only leaked the next day when I didn't need to drive anywhere

Pop the splitters off while you are waiting if you are worried?

Car loaded and gone ... just just inched on with blocks no damage or need to remove

No hire car as they forgot to order at first call so told em to sort tomorrow rather than wait for an hour an half or more for a bloody shitter !!

Lee collecting me in 30 mins and delivering me STRAIGHT TO THE PUB !

Gonna drown my sorrows in amstel

Hopefully car gets there before they close, or it's delivered back again tom am, and then depending on parts car sorted monday fingers crossed ....

Mine went the same way - no warning, the pipe just split when parking. The part is £140 or so . With labour & VAT it came in at £1 under my sodding warranty excess .

Damn Daz! Twice in as many years. Strange? Maybe it wasn't routed correctly when replaced last time???

Ah well, hopefully all back good as on Monday.
