Default Almost a week now.

As above, had Cesil almost a week now so thought I'd share some thoughts on it.

Thoughts can be summed up in one word. Unbelievable.

As some may be aware, I also have the GP which in its current guise is an outstanding car however, I have the feeling that driving Cesil is going to kill the GP. It can't hold a candle to Cesil in any way, shape or form.

Toying with the idea of maybe moving the GP on as I don't think the enjoyment of it is going to stay the same and wondering if I need two hare brained cars.

Could flog it, buy something like a VW Fox or UP! as a runabout and bump £10k back in the bank.

Decisions, decisions

As someone who's gone in the exact opposite direction to you in terms of recent car purchase, I think you'd be mad to sell the GP. They compliment each other perfectly IMO

Fully agreed, they do compliment each other well.

Just not sure I'd appreciate the GP the same as prior to buying the CSL.

Loved the pace of it, the handling, the whole experience of it but the CSL nails it in every way.

Pops, you have a fantastic GP.

I would not even consider selling it unless needs dictate. You will miss it & regret it.

Give it at least 6 months to see how you use both cars. You will then be in a better position to judge.

Glad to hear you are bonding with Cesil.

Will do mate.

I think it might be a good idea to take the advice given and sit on it for a bit. A realistic selling price would only be about 50% of what it's cost me to build as it wasn't done to a budget, just to get it as good as I could.

It was done with the idea of never selling, then along comes cesil

I don't think you should sell it either. It's one of a kind

However, my M135i is going back in March and need a replacement (always plan well ahead with car). Always had a soft spot for GPs having owned 3 new shape minis myself

The mistake you're making here is an unfair direct comparison. I'd say get through this honeymoon period and then make a judgement call on the Mini. I hope you kept all the oem parts for the Mini.
