Hello,
Due to house renovations i'm moving my car to a neighbours barn for about 3 months. It's heated and dry but his insurance means i have to remove the battery (fire risk, apparently). So - my question is - can i leave the CSL for c.3 months without a battery. What will happen to it? Thanks Simon |

Nothing should happen to it apart from a think layer of dust gathering on its flanks.
Mine just re-surfaced from its winter hybernation and all is fine. Trickle charger wasnt connected correctly but the battery lasted a recorded three monthes and it started fine, pheww! Good Luck with your pals relatives not dropping something on the 'car in the corner' etc:-/

Yes, you are fine doing this. The only thing I've been told not to do by a dealer is leave the battery off for over 12 months. This is because it can cause problems with the SMG pump seizing which happened to a garage queen and never used CSL which is actually brought on a trailer to my local dealers for servicing.
The only other thing I've been told is not to jump a flat battery from the rear if you are trying to start / recover a flat cell. You should use the 12V pin in the engine bay...apparently. Kindest, J.
