Default Water in my door pocket

With the heavy rain we've been having I'm getting a problem of my drivers door pocket filling up with water.

There is no sign of the water running to the door pocket in any other part of the interior and the carpets have not got a drop on them so not sure where it is coming from. It takes some pretty heavy rain for it to appear but even so shouldn't be happening and once it's there it doesn't seem to drain away although I've never left it that long.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Peter sounds like the water could be getting past window seal when window is fully raised and then tracking down the back of the door card and gathering in the pocket.
Check seal for integrity, any nicks in the rubber etc

MarkCSL will know the method for door card removal so you can check how the window is sitting against the seal from the inside.

You could always sit in the car and let your Mrs hose you which might give you some idea of where the ingress is.

Additionally have you checked the drain holes at the bottom of the doors.

My car suffered this on the passenger side. The dealer I bought it of sorted it. They took the card off and the plastic shield was completely missing. Perhaps removed to service the lock or the elec window motor ????
Anyway £25 from BMW the new plastic was fitted. Never had a problem since 😄
