Would LOVE to be able to say something like but I've NEVER been overtaken by a CSL when not in my CSL, very rarely see a CSL on the open road. (Could I say CSL any more times in that last sentence?)

Get away from the idea of V10's for track use, despite their fantastic lightweight engineering, they're just too heavy. Go light such as has been mentioned, Caterham, Atom, Radical etc etc.
