Pickup a full set of rings for all six pots for £170. bmw charge this for 1 set, quality wise no idea, Anyway some pictures in 100k mile cylinder, In shot both no 2nd rings. Top old ring, bottom new ring. Piston ring End gap top 1.05 worn. New piston ring Bottom 0.35 Bang on. ..bmw spec. 0.35 to 0.60 .. Old rings seem to have lost a fair bit of spring tension compared to new rings. From what I’ve worked out from measurements Mileage’s above 70k rings are on there limits of bmw spec end gap,

probably no big deal
