Below is the response I got from CCI which is a little clearer then their letter although I do wonder if any of them possess an English 'O' level. The last two sentences are simply abysmal.
I should add that I was under 35 but a few years ago now .

Due to Aviva underwriting changes this year we are currently in the process of establishing that the vehicles on the sports car scheme that we currently have in place are not the main drivers vehicle.
We can carry on cover if your second or third vehicle but not your main everyday car. The letter issued in the post is advising that we can offer cover on a different standard road policy but not the sports car policy with Inclusive track days. Before we can go ahead and provide a quote we would require consent as it can leave a foot print on the credit search for up to 90 days.
The above does not apply to you as you have advised and neither of the cars we Insure are not your main.
