Mine is the same when cold, lift off and it rattles and also you get dull thudding noises, sounds a bit like backfires, just the wadding/internals moving back and forth i guess, until it expands with the heat , then it stops.
Has anyone fitted just a miltek backbox? if so did it keep or loose the rasp?
