Around 4 degrees at the front - the carbon wings weighed around a kilo and a bit each if I recall, less than a third of the weight of the steel wings.

I'm not informed enough to give a proper answer, but it's not just about absolute weight pushing, it's reducing lift and re-directing airflow.

The spats blocking the front wheels for example stop...

On one hand, a CSL is a fully trimmed road car, four seats, a stereo, glass windows, air-con, xenons, etc. It has a much lighter exhaust system than me, lighter glass, lighter fuel...

On percentages, the 'Ring has far more 'completed safely' laps than most circuits. You can probably imagine 60-120 cars on a regular circuit trackday, you might see anywhere between 1 to 3 crashes...
