My other BMW: 850CSi Individual

Hello everyone,

Here are some pictures of my 1996 850CSi Individual.

It currently has 49'000 km and is the only of the 1'510 850CSis produced in this color (Technoviolett).

If I had to keep just one car, I really don't know if I would keep this one or the CSL...

I really love the 850CSi as much as the M3 CSL and I don't intend to track the cars anyway.

Each car has its qualities and its annoyances.

However, I must confess that the subframe stories I have been reading about the E46 are scary...

I know you might be a little biased, but which car would you pick if you had to choose just one?

You're not that worried with the subframe cracks then?

Not to the point of not wanting to own my CSL :smt055
I've had mine checked @ Murketts BMW Dealer when I bought it back in 2009 and I'll be asking Gareth @ Elms BMW Cambridge to check it again @ the upcoming Inspection 1 Service this summer.
Even if a crack is detected, BMW (GB) have been quite supportive in fixing this problem FOC , so far
If your CSL hasn't been tracked or had very stiff after market suspension fitted from new and you're not planning to track it anyway, the chances are it's probably OK. For peace of mind get it checked by a friendly Swiss BMW dealer and find out how supportive BMW (CH) are with regard to this problem. Failing that get in touch with BMW HQ in Munich.
