Carbon Kidneys & Carbon Side Grilles

Im looking for Carbon Kidney and Side Grilles - i cant find any carbon side grilles with the CSL badge on them, only M3 - is this because you retain the CSL badge that is on the stock side grilles or can you buy them with the CSL badge?? Also, i cant find REAL carbon fibre side grilles, only carbon effect ones.
With the Kidney Grilles - who makes the best REAL carbon fibre kidneys?? I dont want the covers as i want to get rid of the whole chrome effect not just the outer piece - i want black slats too. Any help/advice appreciated.

CA Automotive do the grills...not sure about the CSL badge...but they seem like quality and you get a discount as a cslregister member. I believe Glendog has them on his car.

Im guessing you can swap your existing CSL badge over provided it peels off without damaging it??

Why can't you buy the CSL badges from BMW?

Hi,

I bought my side grilles and bonnet kidney grilles from CA Automotive. I think you will struggle to find total carbon fibre items and the cost would be huuuuge!

CA's items are real carbon fibre laminate and are a small weave match to the CSL roof and other bits. I'm really pleased with mine and they were a doddle to fit. The quality is top notch as they supply new parts with which to laminate but i did have to wait quite some time for them to arrive as they order them in batches...

Reference the badges, you either have to prise the old ones off and re-use them or buy a new set like i did and stick them on to the CF items using a clear waterproof resin. I think i paid about £35 for the badges from BMW.

I can post some pics later if that would help.

Pics would be great Rob!

I am after these two parts aswell from CA maybe we can get a better deal if 2 or 3 members make the order in one go?

cheers si

SMD - thats a good idea - i am definitely wanting CF side grilles and CF kidney grilles - i am also looking for smoked front indicator lenses but want to make sure i get the ones that blend in with the headlamp unit as much as possible.
Rob (glendog) - would be great to see clear pics of the side grilles and kidneys fitted to yours - thanks for info too!
Any ideas on the smoked front indicators??

You may get a discount for two orders but remember we get a discount anyway so chances are slim I would have thought.

Guys, here's a few pics outside the hotel in Germany. Not the best quality and there's a few flies after 20 laps of the Ring but you get the idea!
