List your spare parts
 

Wonder what sort of response I am going to get on this.

A couple of friends recogns I am nuts collecting spare CSL parts - so just curious as to what spare parts you all might hold for your cars ...

I'll go first and list mine (have been collecting these over the years whenever they pop up for sale)

1. bootlid (yes I am serious, somebody had one for really cheap and I just decided to buy it)
2. rear diffuser x 2 (one genuine, one a really good replica) - going to turn the replica into something else custom for track use
3. centre console x 1 (got it off ebay)
4. Steering wheels x 3 (one's brand new but without the electrics and trims, the other's the original from the car with full trim and electrics) The one I use in the car's a beat up one I got from dave1.
5. hand brake leather cover (I swapped over an alcantara one, so this it the original from the car)
6. dash pieces (swapped for carbon ones)
7. SMG surround (swapped for carbon ones)
8. spare set of SMG paddles (came on an used steering wheel I got)
9. spare driver side door handle
10. full set of shocks and springs (the originals with less than 11,000km - running coilovers in the car)
11. spare set of wheels and tyres
12. spare set of white indicators (long story on this one)
13. spare muffler (running a borla on the car)
14. spare Vorsteiner replica CSL front bumper
15. spare E46 M3 front bumper and aluminium bar
16. spare passenger seat airbag sensor mat
17. front brakes, bracket, disc and lines (running Alcons on the car)
18. Front splitters x 2 (one vorsteiner, one OEM)
19 . spare front grill (this is for the vorsteiner bumper)
20. spare intake pick up tube (for the vorsteiner bumper)
21. spare airfilter x 1 (mine's due for replacement soon)

Mainly boring things like diff, diff cooler pump, wings, bonnet, wheels, tyres, and a nice man who brings stuff to the track like full suspension for each corner, drive shafts, gearboxes etc etc.

You are close to being able to build a second car with your bits ;)

1. Full OEM suspension removed from my car
2. Set of wheels with Cup tyres
3. OEM 3 piece dash set
4. OEM SMG surround/switch surround
5. Pair of OEM side grilles
6. Pair of OEM kidney grilles
7. Pair of OEM rear brake callipers
8. Set of used OEM CF splitters
9. One new OEM passenger side splitter
10. Intake flap!
11. Pair of OEM rear speakers... :clown:

A key.

- OE steering wheel paddle shifts (the little ones)
- OE wallet key + spare transponder key
- OE Air intake flap (soon on it's way)

I know, I know :smt087 Nathan offered his old one and I took up his offer so I can experiment. Will probably keep it off but it's nice to have it in the CSL stock box :hahaha:

Yes I've noticed that I can pretty much build another replica (exterior wise) - maybe I should pick up a spare set of interiors and build me a replica :whistle:

ah yes, forgot about them keys ... 2 main and 1 valet key here :supz: as per when new!!
