Rear glass reference
 

Hello,

As some of you know, my car had been damaged by hail before I purchased it.

I was wondering if there is an easy way to tell if it still has the original glass, especially the rear one.

I can see that the front windscreen is a Pilkington, so I suspect it is the original.

Pilkington make all the glass,if it has Bmw stamped on it,it will be OE ;)

I have Sekurit - Saint Gobain on the rear glass and on the front-sides, Splintex on the rear-sides and Pilkington on the windscreen.

All have the BMW logo on it.

I'm just wondering if the rear is the CSL's OEM thin glass or a regular E46 one.

Hi Alex,

Just checked on my CSL and the rear glass is Sekurit, with the same numbers as what's on your rear glass.

My windscreen is also Pilkington, drivers & passenger side windows Sekurit and rear side windows Splintex :beer:
