Day at Donny with ONeill

Had a sneaky day at Donington on Monday with Barry on an RMA Trackdays day. we waited for the good weather and found out when we got there, they had only about 20 cars on track

So we had a full day, empty track, sunshine and fun ahead.

Managed a double garage between us, buit cold to start but abig breakfast got us in the mood!

Overall i did 96 laps, mostly way past the liit of my ability and I am gobsmacked i stayed in one piece tbh.

Overall i snuck a bout 20 laps in the 1m19s and best time was a 1m19.1s whereas Bazza managed to squeeze in a 1m18.9s :smt055:smokin:

Overall though i was happy with the day, managed to knock 0.5s off my previous best, got closer to Bazzas best time and lookin at my data with the clear laps I was much more consistant that before. If you look at the dat you MAY JUST NOTICE that on my best lap my Craners sector was way slow and any other lap swapped for that sector would have gained my minimum 0.2s :smokin: and my IDEAL THEORECTICAL best lap for th eday was 1m17.9s

Something to aim for in the future.

Here is the video, a bit shakey!

20 cars !!!! Sweet !

Good times Shim, usual twitch on that bend :gayfight:

That Harry's lap timer seems good, do you think you could set it up properly to get past race Marshalls?

of course, caterham and mx5 guys use GoPros so why not.

Unfortunately laptimes are a bit quicker on Harrys due tot he crappy iphone GPS (1hz) whereas VBoxlite is 5hz and VBox 10hz.

That fastest lap was 0.06s faster on Harrys and ive seen it gain 1 sec at Spa compare dwith vBoxLite

Great day out, if Carlsberg did track days it would be with RMA:thumbs:

Relaxed atmosphere, good breifing as in short and to the point also overtaking on both sides which felt strange at first.

It felt strange at the end as well!:smokin:

Wish I had a picture if te guy with the M3 - nice young chap but mystified why his 485bhp lightweight beast was being ragged by two standard CSLs.

Looking good shim.

Vbox lite is 10hz though, if using 1hz then can be miles out, easy over a second.

Vbox sport will make Harry's 20hz.
