CSL Nut Caps
Surprised nobody thought of it before, bolt caps alla VW Golf, quick fix for bolt heads not looking their best:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20x-BMW-3-...item4d0acd6101 I'm sure I read something recently, asking were such things available - well they are now:thumbs: |
Hi Neil
That was me asking - might give these a punt...can't weigh much! |

VW part number: 321 601 173 A and they are pennies, even from VW main stealer  |
Much nicer Matt, than rusty bolt heads, I've got a box full somewhere left over from my Golf'ing days, put away in a safe place wherever that may be
|
I bought a set of chrome ones a while ago but they're mega long and need hacksawing shorter and not sure i can't be arsed when there's a VW dealer round the corner from me.
Black looks better, maybe... |
Nut caps are extra weight.
Best option is to remove the rust with sandpaper and spray the original nuts. I did a set 4 years ago and they are still holding good even though we have so much salt here ;) |

Have bit the bullet and invested in a set for £9.99
Will post up some before and after pics. If the consensus is poor, I will move them to my parts bin (it's smaller than Shimmy's) |
I reckon chemi blacking is way to go if you want to keep your nuts looking good :119:
