CSL wheels

So I have a set of CSL wheels currently on the car. They have BBS and Germany stamps on the inside of the wheels but on the face of the wheels they have been smoothed flat, so no BMW stamp or part numbers...they have been refurbished in the past (not by me) which makes me think maybe the previous owner wanted them flat on the face?

were there any replica wheels with BBS stamps on them??

I want to get them refurbished but won't bother if I can't be sure they are genuine CSL

There are 2 sets of wheels marketed as CSL, both of which are manufactured by BBS.
The difference being that one set is/was sold by BMW and fitted to the CSL, hence the embossed logo beneath the 'M' sport badge. The others don't, just the BBS stamp on the Rear.

I had a few sets where constant overspray on the front almost covered up the letters.

would like to re-visit this thread again for my education.

'embossed logo beneath the 'M' sport badge'
I don't get this. where is the M sport logo in the pic?
any specific model numbers to look for?

The M sport badge is missing in the pic above but is located directly above the 'BMW' stamp (out of shot)
Image shows location, but it should be facing the Hub

The front wheels are part #36112282650 for 8.5"x19" CSL
Rears are 36112282660 for 9.5"x19" CSL, this was later superseded by 36112282999
