just kidding, I don't really open the bonnet!!!

what symptoms does loose cam bolts give you?

Graham 19-02-2014 03:02 PM

I gave it a go before, to be honest if you have a friendly garage near you it's easier just to give it to them

It was a headache making sure I'd checked, double checked, triple checked and that was just measuring the clearances never mind actually changing them

thanks for that, i wonder if the mechanics would do a good job?

the cam bolts come loose apparently, and then shear. there was a replacement upgrade of stronger bolts fitted with loc tite but i don't know if the csl had that as standard or if it was something that had to be done. Has anybody checked their cam bolts?

Devam where are you? I know a good independent garage that do a good job as they did mine for a fraction of what BMW would charge.

Failing that there's a guy on M3cutters that has done loads of peoples nows so just depends where you are really

devam 20-02-2014 04:25 AM

Australia, they charge $175 per hour, bmw here.
