SG CSL @ Millenium Heroes

Evening all.

Thinking about getting back in to a CSL :) My old car was featured on PH here :

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/t...t=1419434&i=80

I subsequently sold the car to my business partner, who went on to sell it on here :

http://www.cslregister.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10707

I don't really want a higher miles car, but neither do I want a low miles garage queen that's unusable. So thought this car :

http://www.millenniumheroes.com/cars...sl-6-for-sale/

might hit the spot.

Any feed back on Millenium Heroes appreciated, likewise does anyone know anything about the car or its former owners/or indeed has anyone been to view it ?

I like the fact the car still has a BMW warranty (though as the car is over 10 years old and has done more than 50k miles, my guess is the warranty cost will be circa £125 PM or more ?) and that it's standard (I'd be fitting a set of AP's on the front).

Any info gratefully received. Many thanks in advance.

Bought mine from them and found them to be ok.

Mine was SOR, asked about warranty and got a few oohs and ahhs, once I knew it was SOR I didn't push the issue. The seller was/is a member here so did as much searching as I could the night before going to see it.

They're appt only and when you get to the gates, you wouldn't dream of some of the cars they have.

Would have absolutely no hesitance in using them again.

Excellent, good to know.
Many thanks.

Happy hunting Rob. You do put an element of doubt in my mind about changing by coming back for another CSL particularly in today's market. A couple of others have said I'd be bored with the Fezz and be filled with regret for swapping once the novelty wore off.

Check Ben's car if you can - if only to see the colour of it, it's a wow if ever there was one. If I was in the market today I doubt I could resist it; it's been cosseted.

On the other hand, Ben if you're reading . . . here we have another CSL owner coming back to the fold (as you've done in the past) - could be £100k next time you want a CSL in the garage !!!!! We're down in South Wales early June if you want to gatecrash the party - there will be some epic pork present.

Hi Rick, hope you're well ? It's not Rob.
It's been 5 years since RK left the fold, and over the past 4 months my stable of Pork has gone too (964 RS & Mk 1 996 GT3 Clubsport)
Really missing having a "toy", so figured a Cecil might be required in the garage. I can barely afford it, but needs must ...
Rob said you were thinking of selling, and that RK has done 86k miles now ? Sounds like you've had some fun in the car. What did Guy Martin make of it ?

Best regards

Henry

If you've not already done so, and you want an interesting insight into 430 ownership, this is an excellent read (as is his "CSL"build thread).

Oh that's me getting confused . . . who emailed me? I thought it was Rob searching or are you both on the lookout?

I know you better as slippydiff 😈😈😈

Hi Rick, it would appear Rob has surreptitiously been harbouring thoughts of bringing a Cecil into the fold for several months ! !
I'd hoped to go car free for the next couple of years, but going cold turkey has proven tougher than I thought it would.
I recently said to Rob I'd considered buying something cheap to fill the void left after the sale of the RS and GT3, but the more I've thought about it, the more I think a Cecil would be my choice of toy.
So yes, we're both on the lookout !
