Carbon Parts coming off due to heat!

3 Attachment(s)
I guess this London heat does have its disadvantages; first a piece of my roof liner came off and now I see that the carbon parts added to the interior of the car have started to warp! :bigcry: See pictures below.

I'm not sure if there is an easy fix to this other than buying a new set...Perhaps a heat gun and some bonding glue? Suggestions?

Mark are you able to give me a hand?

I had the roof liner side felt strips start to come off this eve...bizarre. Glued them back on and looked a bit of a weirdo for a bit trying to hold them in position whilst the glue set...

If you got them from me post them back and i shall sort them.

It looks like the carbon has not bonded properly it will need removed and done again.

I chickened out and sent the car to local stealer to have mine done. Collecting it today and will be checking the roof with a magnifying glass for glue marks!

Just collected mine - all washed and waxed!

£180 incl VAT. :moan:

Apparently they used the glue that they stick the sump on Mini's for the purpose - so should be strong enough for two roof trims!

Talking of cleans...Elms Bedford did a full clean of the beast under the bonnet when I had my car in for the subframe. Looks like new :notworthy: , don't want to drive it now (do really...)

I paid (234 euro - £200) for a new one at the dealer.

So you're saying you paid £180 to have this glued back ?!?!?
