I searched for a LCI facelift E70 X5 40d for a while as our family circumstances required the 7 Seat option for the kids as well as a Rear TV and DVD player to keep them happy on journeys. Additionally, I wanted the higher output 40d Twin-Turbo version with its healthy (yet reasonably frugal) 306 bhp mated to the superb ZF 8-speed transmission. I spotted this car for sale at Sytner BMW Birmingham and it looked great in Titan Silver with the 20” alloy wheel option. X5’s have many features as standard but this one had probably the largest additional options list I had seen during my search!

Covering approximately 28k miles during our 3 year ownership, it has slightly higher than average mileage for it’s age but is comparable to many others available on the second-hand market. It is in very good condition both inside and out save for a few minor marks and signs of general wear and tear. The car is standard other than genuine BMW mud flaps that we had fitted shortly after purchase. This car has never been smoked in or driven off-road during our ownership and has been well cared for.

Exterior:
The Titan Silver exterior paint is in very good condition bar minor marks/chips to the front bumper and stone chips to the leading edges of the rear wheel arches. There is no evidence of rust to the bodywork.

Interior:
The Nevada Black Leather upholstery and interior is in very good condition with no damage and only minor signs of wear. The carpets/mats, headlining, dash and steering wheel are also in very good condition with only minor marks.

Alloy Wheels and Tyres:
The staggered 20” BMW Style 333 alloy wheels are in good condition although they do exhibit some marks and isolated areas of kerb rash. There is also evidence of paint bubbling beginning to appear around the BMW roundels. Tyres are the OEM recommended Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport Run-Flats: fronts have approximately half tread life remaining, rears are BRAND NEW.

Summary:
Our X5 is in very good condition and has been maintained by BMW whenever the need arises. I am meticulous with all of my cars and clean them regularly inside and out to keep them presentable. Benefiting from the higher output twin-turbo diesel engine, it also comes with a huge raft of BMW options that combine to make for a superb driving experience. It has a clean bill of health having just passed a recent MOT Test and benefits from new rear tyres and recent front brake discs and pads. With the next service not due for another 3000 miles, this car wants for nothing and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.

I have priced our car fairly which reflects it’s very good condition. We are only selling as we only do short journeys now and no longer have a requirement for 7 seats. The car is located in Truro Cornwall; test drive with proof of insurance.
