Custom cage convert track slag

Ive just finished the cage in A&B Racings convertible 328i

That one i made from a pre fabricated hoop the made the 4 other bars myself cutting shaping them so that the fit tight onto the main hoop then welded it all in.

This was the mock up took 3 hours to get them close! When i finished welding it in i used 2 engine cranes and lifted the car off the floor by the cage just to see what would buckle!! Not even a crease! |

Why a convertible, whats the story?

Got the car on the cheap and it was easy enough to build with my budget and fun.its never gonna be championship lap time setter but its good to do a morning warm up session so the csl doesn't get worked soo hard!!
I did lots of brands days this summer it was soo hot the sweat ran down my arms and i to my hazard switch causing all sorts of problems so i thought yeah grab a convert!!:whistle: |
