New disc,'
 
Just about to start another labour of love. New disc's for one, measurement just worn down to min thickness.. rear 18. 5 mm /min18.4. --- Front worn to 24.8. Min 26.4mm,so slightly over min, original disc's 68000 miles no track use, 14 year old disc, in my book that's a big thumbs up to BMW, ?? What do you guys that do track day get from a set of disc's N pads :thumbs:

Thats a impressive mileage Chad.

Regarding your question on whats good depends, as always, on your goals and budget.

I am a track novice so i didnt want to spend 6000€ on AP brakes. So i went for uprated pads (Pagid RS29) and stainless steel brake lines and better brake fluid. ANd i have to say that it works very good. No brake fading even though i braked them cooking hot, to the point where my calipers are now golden :hahaha:
Sure you dont get the stopping power of the APs but that is to be expected.

Oh forgot, the pagid pads combined with the stock calipers are noisy as f*ck... but for a weekend toy its absolutely fine.
