No a CSL but bought an E39

After the thread below I have taken the plunge...E39, 10 years old, 55k on the clock, 400bhp, big smiles......doesn't show it's age and is still really tight.

And this will suprise Glendog but already looking for AP's.....it has BC coilovers and supersprint exhaust for starters and I see a trip to Simpsons in the future for a healthy 550bhp maybe...Anyway a few pics after picked her up today..

Yep...550 is about the max...will see how I get on with the car and decide how far to go....it's no slouch at the moment though.

I was concerned about the BC coilovers being too extreme but I was really suprised..car still comfortable but no roll in the bends...lovely. It feels like a much smaller car to hustle about.

Funnily enough a few people I know have said the same thing, it doesn't show it's weight and is quite agil for a big heavy car! :)

Very nice Andy - i have always had a soft spot for the E39 M5

Nice colour too and it does sit low - get those APs on! :smokin:

It really did impress me on the drive from Salisbury to South Wales today....lots a bendy roads but the car just was not fazed but what every I asked of it....didn't feel that much slower than my CSL on the straights

My wife has an E60 525 Touring and I must say that the E39 is a much better place to be sat in.

Can't comment on E60's but have heard rave reviews of the E39, the 4.0 V8 is meant to be a corker! :supz:
