Mark, my old 1M had a DMS remap (415/475) and I had a boost issue once and took it to the dealer without having the map removed as DMS assured me it wouldn't be found. It was nervous sphincter time especially as they were investigating a boost issue.....

Nothing detected though on the map and problem identified as a vacuum hose which was duly rectified - happy days.

I have no doubt that if there was a major failure and the ECU needed in depth interrogation then it could have been found, but for servicing and even investigating a boost issue it was fine.

Managed to prise the wife out of the 1M today and met up with a friend to see his new GTS. The Porker is a fantastic car and sounded wicked but not sure it's 60k more car than the 1M. He was shocked how good it was when I took him out for a blast.

The 1M is a blast and one quick little car

What's that Rob, the garage and track :-D

As great as your CSL is mate, which it is, there is more to driving nirvana than a race track ;), and I can tell you, the impact my front splitter has encountered, your front bumper and carbon splitter would be spread over 15000 miles of tarmac, gravel and everything else my 1M has driven on, and you know I take it places off the beaten motorways :-D

Ha ha - fair play mate but mine has seen 3 big Euro drives to Italy and back via the alps as well as the numerous track outings ;)
