Steering wheel - centre top plastic piece
I have unfortunately damaged the top section with an after market cleaner that has taken the original finish off.
The BMW replacement is c.£400+ for both top and bottom sections. Does anyone know where I could obtain a refurb service or similar as an alternative to buying new? Thank you. |
There is info on here about what colour to get these painted. It’s Phoenix silver or something similar. Have them painted with 50% matt and job’s a good un. Find a local sprayer to do it, doubt it will cost more than £150

Just popped into my head. Colour is Sebring Grey with a 50~30% matt finish.

Thank you Gregor - much appreciated!

I remember going through this a while back. I posted by findings here:-
http://www.cslregister.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9577 Indeed Sebring Grey is a very good match, and probably correct. Getting the correct level of matting is critical if you are trying to math to the existing trims. I'd paint all trims in one go if I was you, as the factory paint tends to get a bit gunky after 15 years - so will mark eventually. Then if the matting level is slightly non-OEM, you will never notice. I stripped everything myself, then got a local painter to spray them, was about 100 quid all in i think, but he did have to spend a lot of time paining sample cards before we decided on the colour. |
Hi to everyone, someone can help me explaining me ho to remove the m track mode button from the upper trim of the steeering wheel?
Best regards ;) |
