Who drives their CSL's in the wet?

Due to feeling like I may be the only dry weather CSL driver on here lets have a poll.....

Bounce 05-04-2010 07:11 PM

Try not to,but sometimes cant be avoided.;)

Johnnywb 05-04-2010 07:26 PM

Yep, my only car, so not much choice, but i have put PS2's on for the inclement weather...

Andyk 05-04-2010 07:32 PM

When I had mine it was my daily drive...

kpkpkp 05-04-2010 07:32 PM

It is my daily driver so it gets used no matter what and it lives on the drive not in the garage.

Kp

mole 05-04-2010 07:38 PM

Used to be used any weather no matter what, now it's more of a toy so now have Cups and normally only in the dry but if anything is happening she comes out - like yesterday for example she got wet :hahaha:

rstoughy 05-04-2010 08:02 PM

Only gets used during the summer months but if it's out the garage and it rains then so be it.

Yanto 05-04-2010 08:03 PM

Sorry dude - option 5 for me.....

Dont be a :gayfight:

mwahahahahaha.......

;)

shimmy 05-04-2010 08:11 PM

it seems like ONLY in the rain at the moment

Dan 05-04-2010 08:25 PM

If it gets wet it gets wet, not bothered at all personally :)

Ditto to all above.
Cleaned all underneath, arches, exhaust etc after it coming out of winter storage last week & got completely caked again yesterday:banghead:
...But you really cant depend on the weather otherwise it would never be driven.

SpineOnABap 05-04-2010 08:55 PM

I'm going to have to come back to this thread tomorrow morning when I'm sober, because right now I'm pissed and because of that it's looking like there's people who wouldn't drive a CSL simply because it's raining

glendog74 05-04-2010 10:14 PM

Last option.

shane@mbtech 05-04-2010 10:21 PM

I voted I dont care, because I dont,

If its dry a serious drive is on the cards.

If its wet a sidways fun drive is on the cards.

I get in it and drive to the conditions regardless what they may be.

Cant be arsed with all the polishing, and never driving shit.

You didn't let "Elms" BMW touch your car, did Ya :smt107 ??? I wouldn't let them glance at a E30 "Fleebay Special", let alone a CSL. I think you're implying you visited Murketts BMW who are in Huntington... 20 miles west from Cambridge  Northern bum-boy :gayfight: :finga: :blalalala:

Says cambridgeshire to me:birdman::birdman::birdman:

Anyway, yes it was murketts, your neck of the woods anyway

Made good time really, 2.5hrs to get there, not bad.

DazBlackCSL 05-04-2010 10:59 PM

Love you all.. mine's an unmolested garage queen  only drive it when it's about 26.7 degrees or else I'll get the bus ... or the scootay :clown:

Just check my sig out for proof! :blalalala: ;)

I also have a couple of pics from the other night on my iphone from when it was hacking it down with rain, I was thinking this isn't 'Cup' weather yet! :banghead: :bigcry:

Doesn't count as your car is too clean :blalalala: and it looks like it's not been anywhere :gayfight: except a car wash, maybe

I've just had another pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric fitted to the rears as 2-3 mm that was left on the previous pair wasn't going to be enough for a long weekend @ the Ring, even with a spare set of 18" with semi slick Dunlops. Of course it was raining again :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry: but I got a great deal on them  so not all bad (£420 for a pair of 265/30/19" all in fitted & balanced)

Dan 07-04-2010 05:11 PM

You'd better not see the couple of pics I took on my phone from the Easter weekends cleaning session then had you! :hahaha: ;)

The Cups I got off Shimmy barely have 3mm of tread I reckon and they are going to have to last a weekend at the Ring and Spa! :bigcry: That doesn't fill me full of confidence! :banghead: :bigcry: :bigcry:
