CSL Shell for Sale

I thought I'd advertise this here first. As some here who know me are aware, I'm rebuilding my car for next years CSL Cup. As part of this I did a deal on a brand new shell with fitted welded in roll cage, and am transporting all the goodies from my car over to it.

That means I've got an HPI clear undamaged (with the exception of a small ding on the drivers side where John Thorne kissed me at Castle Combe) UK original CSL chassis.

It has had the rear subframe mounts reinforced, as there was one hairline crack we noticed (I think you're going to find more of them on M3s and M3 CSLs that have been tracked as time goes by) and the front strut towers have been reinforced as well.

I'm trying to sell it as a rolling chassis with the AST 3 way adjustable suspension installed, and the steering rack etc. Ideally I'd want to sell the bolt in cage as well, but I could sell that seperately.

PM me if you're interested. The car had done 69,000 miles.

Craig Quick!!!!

derek 28-11-2009 05:33 PM

pm sent Steve

Craig 04-12-2009 01:50 PM

Can you PM me a price Steve?

TANKSLAPPER 04-12-2009 04:09 PM

Criag, I though you had broken and sold most of your car.

Craig 05-12-2009 01:59 AM

Broke it, yes... sold it on only the seats and airbox so far and a few odds and sods. But I only just remembered I sold the airbox earlier dohh! Got someone interested in the box and shell, depending on their decision depends on if I look into this idea further.

Been honest think I'd rather just sell everything on and start afresh.

shimmy 05-12-2009 08:11 AM

NOOOOOO

rebuild it with Steves shell....................its a sign:thumbs:

Craig 05-12-2009 01:17 PM

I'm gonna stand my ground and pass, i've been soo un-decisive recently with plans but I'm sticking to the sell up and use the Type-R for a year on track before buying anything new.

shimmy 05-12-2009 01:35 PM

GOOD DECISION x:thumbs:

AlexGTT 05-12-2009 02:24 PM

For me this would be a no-brainer Craig. Steve's car is a known quantity and he's a straight guy. I'd snap it up. You need very little to make a cracking, genuine CSL and even better...................it's white! Beautiful.

Couldn't agree more!! If this was in New Zealand I'd have sped over to Steve's place in the CSL and cut him a cheque already!!

Need a door to door price for stuffing and shipping that container Tom ... several collections it would appear, 1 @ Steves and another at Craigs !!..then a few more to fill the container up with bits and pieces, final call at Shimmys to top it off with rubber in the form of hundreds of used Cups !:hahaha:

They ain't joking either, proper butchers. I got my roof from there, went expecting it to be a carbon sheet on the shelf, no looked like someone sunk a Csl into the floor!

And the bloody thing wouldnt fit in the van so he came with the saw and cut another 5 inch off all the pillars !
