Intrax RS shocks/springs

Have been in a CSL with the Intrax 1k2 coilovers fitted and it was superb, really high quality kit -and no doubt well known on this forum.

Intrax also make an RS range of shocks/springs - I suppose a bit like the Koni Sport Yellow range etc.

Anyone heard of these being fitted to a CSL - Intrax list it as a valid application for the RS kit ?

Definitely track specific stuff ... but personally I don't like the full coilover design for the rears unless you were running a full cage.

Here's a set for sale from a guy in Germany for US$3140 incl shipping to the USA.

Intrax is apparently the mutts, but a whole load of money.

Im happy with my KWs at half the price of the cheaper Intrax.

specific question though - does anyone have experience of how the RS range (not coilovers) performs vs. the standard setup ?

It's priced similar to replacing your OEM suspension from BMW.

have now had somefeedback from Intrax/Evolve on the RS kit - it's designed as an M3 upgrade and although it works fine on the CSL deos not really offer anything above the OEM setup.

And my mistake - it is actually a coilover kit but non-adjustable. So entry level, and not worth it for the CSL.

worth a try :smokin:

what about the next one up?

rs32 24-02-2009 09:28 PM

not sure Dave. I'm working on the principle that if I do something, it's going to have to be the 1K2 kit. My CSL is just for the road, so perhaps there's no point messing with what the M divison intended.

It's hardly a bad setup now

I will get the 1k2 kit fitted eventually when my OEMs get past their sell-by date. I go on track a reasonable amount though.

If I didn't track mine then i would keep it OEM standard. OEM manages just fine on the Ring too

I heard about it's not a good idea running coilovers on the rear of a CSL without using a cage.

Is this true or just hearsay?????
