Genuine CSL Boot Lid - Brand New

SOLD

This is a genuine CSL item and is brand new, however it has been slightly damaged in transit; one corner has been chipped and the other corner has a small stress crack to the primer (or whatever it is they put on it in the factory).

The genuine CSL part fits perfectly unlike aftermarket copies. These are now nigh on impossible to get hold of as BMW realised non-CSL owners were ordering them and have since tightened up ownership checks.

Cash on collection from Sleaford in Lincolnshire.

Makes sense, I am using the photos of the person I bought it from. He obviously made quite a profit from selling it to me!

"has a small stress crack to the primer"
Hmmmm, unaware that a stress fracture could occur in paint! You learn something everyday - not! :smokin:
It's the substrate that has the fracture, which is indicated by the paint separation. ;)

I'm sure there will be a Yank come along shortly who will snap it up ;).

Oh dear, it's like a post from M3Cutters!

Looks like I may have to get it painted first :)

It won't be just paint that's required, repaint and it will just crack again!
It's a composite structure so specialist repair would be required, to put it right!

Yes sure, that goes without saying. It's an easy fix with resin but is obviously putting people off at the mo.

Better to get the information from here as most of us already have said item, rather than ebay, where if sold you'll get a 'Not as described' and money auto refunded. Then your way out of pocket!

excursion 13-12-2013 10:57 AM

Sold. It's on it's way to the states.
