I decided last year that i would change from wheel bolts to wheel studs/nuts for convenience so i fitted these first. It was a straight forward job and involved cleaning the hub threads prior to applying a drop of Loctite 262 high strength threadlocker and torque tightening the studs to 16 ft lbs.

The 10.5 x 18J rears went on without spacers and fitted nicely with a little clearance from the wheel arch and without any issues with suspension.

The 9.5 x 18J fronts had to have 12mm spacers fitted to fit ok and even so the inner edge of the rim is at most 5mm away from my KW Clubsport spring/strut upright... The top outer edge of the tyre looks like it would come into contact with the arch but this is partly down to only having around -2.2 degrees camber set on the fronts vice the -3.2 that i use on track.

I took it for a gentle test drive and am relieved to report that all seemed well although i was careful to not make the suspension compress at any point! I'm not overly keen on the wider front 18's 'blocky' appearance either but the drive felt so different to standard wheels and was almost go-kart like despite the Cups scrabbling for grip in the cold temperatures.

It will be interesting to see what this set-up is like on track! Looking forward to Donny on the 18th

I'm having a look around to fit gold E88's to my (black) CSL.

I would fit 9.5J 18's all round. If anyone knows a good source for these, or knows of anyone selling theirs, do let me know!

Let me know as well if you find a good source

Edit: I have found these guys -> http://racingteam-hofmann.de/motorsportfelgen.htm but didn't contact them yet.

Sit down before scrolling down.....

19s (in any of the following widths 8.5" / 9" / 9.5" / 10") and any offset are 5,915 Euros :bigcry:

18s ditto above are 5,525 Euros :bigcry:.

Both are delivered to UK prices.

As you might know the BBS E88 are built to order, therefore the order time can take up to 6-8 weeks. But you can get a wheel set specifically produced for your car (so staggered widths and offsets would be no extra cost).

This is dealing direct with BBS.

Mike is this the price of one or of a set ?

They're expensive, but they're not THAT expensive :119: - the price is for a full set of four wheels in either 18" or 19". Widths and offsets have no effect on the price.

The price also includes VAT @ 20% (which obviously isn't applicable to Switzerland).

Thanks, the price is decent in my opinion.
I might consider a set next year.

I think I'd prefer the LMs.....

I love E88 but NTM Pista III are mega light and strong, would be my choice for a track car if I had more money.
