I'll have to go et22 all round with a 10mm spacer on the rear -3 camber on front for road:bigcry:

No good. Et27 rear CSL rims can rub at -3 so def don't go worse than that.

What rims were you looking for?

Apex arc8 9.5/18, come in et35 or et22, was going to get the et35, didn't think there would be clearance issues.

What's the minimal spacing you need with your offsets for the Nitron shocks.

With mine I think you'd need about 30-32. But I don't see why you shouldn't be able to change the helper spring and get the bottom platform in a better place, higher or lower to miss the wider part of the tyre, or worse case use a Intrax platform as they seem smaller. Worse case et35 with 10mm spacer.

et32 will mean a 3mm spacer, that's what you use, so OK with the hub.

10mm?? rubbing?? Are the hub extenders a no go then?

Yep, 10mm to et25 will mean -3 camber nd still close to wheel arch, try and stay away from this.

I use 3mm spacer and it's fine as hubcentric bit still pokes out enough. You could try the 5mm but most say it doesn't allow enough of the hub ring to poke through.

Might be worth having a range of helpers springs handy when you fit them.

That's what the hub extender is for, smac says no, to me they look like they will work fine in keeping the wheel centric.

They will be under a lot of lateral stress though so you need to make sure they an take it. It's not just a location device but releases stress for the bolts.

Mmm didn't think of that. Unless the hub extender touches the back face of the cutout from the wheel, it will move. Unless you put shims in.

Setra uses these wheels with Moton shocks, surely the pistons on them must be huge. so the diameter of the shock will be comparable to Nitron. But he has extended arches:banghead:

I want these wheels but can't be arsed fooking about with different helper springs.

Why not just buy TD pro race 1.2. 18x9 et30. They work, they look good, they are not too heavy, they are strong?

They weigh about 2.5 kg a wheel more and don't look oem:bigcry:

how many times do you get out by yourself? meaning throw a passenger in and does it really matter? or lose some weight yourself :hahaha:

does it matter for track?

have you looked at OZ Ultra

Setra is using 9.5/18 et 35 with ap's up front no issues with shock clearance, so worst way 3mm spacer:thumbs:

I meant they are not OEM.

I used TD pro race 1.2 with yoko A048 on my car. They saw me lap Oulton in 1.56. I dont think by changing them to Arc8 8.55kg, fandangos it would get me below 1.55. .

I get the theory and your thinking and going lightest is theoretically best, but in the real world, I doubt you will notice no difference in your lap times.

Far too many variables to go with.

On the rotational mass theory, who makes the lightest discs?

Arc8s function and form:thumbs:, square setup for tyre longevity, but difference in handling might take a while to adapt. As for lightest discs, must be ap because of alloy bells http://www.northloop.co.uk/forum/ima...ilies/fish.gif

yes but their bolts are discs are heavier than others.. fact

I understand getting the car to handle how you want it to but lap times??
you can't over take on corners, you go flat and I'm mean flat, there's always the chance of your car going home on Dunc's trailer. I see track days as a bit of fun and yes driving quickly, if you want to go any further then you need to race, even then to be up there I think you need very deep pockets if you want to be up at the front :)

I haven't said anything about lap times. (but will do howfast again to see if there is a difference) I want to try a square setup for the tyre longevity. the arc8 wheels look good, don't cost much and have the benefit of being light.
