No it was the 300 both times. I came away thinking the Noble was crap on track but had an absolute hoot on the Silverstone GP earlier this year.
Unfortunately I had too much of a hoot on the way back to the hotel at the ring a couple of weeks later and now I need a new gearbox :( This is why I'm suddenly considering a couple of CSL trackdays... |
Snetterton is a good track for the CSL. We are there on the 2nd Nov.

All revised and full of new tricks and goodies!!both cars will be doin serious work!!

Shimmy's spa time
Anyone know the shimster's fastest lap at Spa?
2.50 seems to be a respectable time Come on shim let's have it..... if it's under 2.45 I'm not coming;) |
2m 59,4 iirc
and that felt a bit loose tbh wing will help and slicks but acceleration and top speed also may be reduced which may be an issue. Most race teams run less wing a Spa i think |
Adem put some hours in last night, Fitted my last set of RS29's hanging around the garage, bonnet, front splitter, Uniroyals and geo tweak for Sat.

M3 Track car
Billy
Love the rear wing. Wicked wing end plates. |
The rear wing is mint!
|
I doubt the marshalls at the ring will share the same view?
those end plates are like massive daggers to an out of talent biker. are they removeable? |

Brands or Donny will be far enough. Fair play to Adem driving it to Zandvoort. Come off in 2min. |

Might be able to drive the CSL then.

either one will do nicely!! On our first return from Spa we were already jacking up the sequel!! Once driven its hard to rival, ring being the possible exception. |
Track day at snetterton yesterday. Half dryish track and other half, wet, damp, greasy.
Went for goodyears in the end. Gave a good compromise. Took a good 6 laps to get heat into them. After Adem fitted front splitter and bonnet car was very planted, best turn in the cars had. With -5.5 front camber and on 19inch square set up turn in, in the wet was fun but the car was still balanced and felt bloody good. Got instruction and really pushed the car. Had loads of unexpected sideways moments round riches, coram and turning in under the bridge. Never span and kept it all under control. The pit straight stayed wet all day but had a dry line just after turn in by the right rumble strip. Had greAt grip all through middle section and entry onto back straight. Then from back straight to pit straight it didn't dry out. Adems set the car up just how I want it and it's turning into a weapon. |
Good to meet billy
Car felt planted with the splitter and good chioce staying on the gy Quote:

I left about 3pm ish so missed this.
Funny stuff. Put a leash on her turkish. Would of loved to see what would of been the outcome if the car leading the pack wasn;t there, would of been a plato touring car move. |
That was definetly not a day for 888's, crazy man!
Awesome day even with the 'incident' lol. Bloody idiots |
Was funny.....but if that bird had of hit me she would have been on her arse then her gobby fella..
It looked like the black civic was driving crazy anyway nearly losing it going onto the back straight and then passing the car on the right heading upto the bomb hole. I'll have a word with James at Snetterton and see if anything was done about it. |
Snetterton staff walked down, and once hearing about the woman hitting people with her crash helmet, one of the guys immediately said right that's it I'm going to throw them out. At 3:30pm I can't imagine they were too fussed, it would be nice if they could be banned from any future track days, at Snetterton at least although all MSV circuits would be even better, but I can see why that would be difficult.

Blacked out the front grills, DTM mirrors look great but you cannot see shit and got the 4.1 gearing, Martins then sorting me out some AKG solid bushes all round, H&R anti roll bars, engine/trans mounts.
