side kick plates back and now sorted. great work by Paul Pooler from H20 transfers in the midlands.

still got originals on car and will tuck away. these were ones that had peeled and lacquer gone so prepped and sorted.

very happy with them and proper CSL sticker under the lacquer:

Looks stunning pal. I love the look of the AC Schnitzer backbox combined with the CSL diffuser. I know it's a bit marmite but I think it's awesome!

Das Chin 11-12-2013 01:33 PM

side skirts fitted on both sides and really happy with the look and finish.

so much better than the OEM ones which were looking a bit tired. still kept originals if ever needed in the future.

Levente 16-12-2013 02:15 PM

its nice but its too much i think now it does look like a crappy OEM part which you see on the US m3 cars.

We do like to spoil our girls with diamonds and furs.

Levente 17-12-2013 10:44 AM

sorry but the oem looks alot more stylish and thousand times better then this. im all for changing some carbon parts but this i wouldnt change. ok but thats my opinion

Das Chin 17-12-2013 01:15 PM

each to their own. That is why i kept all the oem stuff safe in the garage if ever i sell can, easily be put back. The oem side sills are not great up close and new carbon effect ones look a lot better up close.

Marks little asian child workers, in an old garage in bonnie scotland, can do the carbon laying to match the original.

See his products in the for sale section.

Lookin good Nick, Its a great feeling starting up again...Like a new toy

jonnysideways 22-01-2014 10:39 PM

Looking well Nick. Mines accumulating dirt, still being used as a daily driver.

The pilots are really coming into there own now, handy really, as there never seems to be a good dry run home form work.

Das Chin 20-03-2014 12:11 PM

new handbrake grip cover sourced from BMW.

also got a new leather gaitor to go on as well.

will fit at start of april when she comes out to play ;-)

I always think that the handbrake boot looks completely out of character being the only leather piece of trim on the car, perhaps on a par with the painted rear console, (just little things that niggle)
If I were to replace mine I think I'd opt for Alcantara. I'm sure Jack at Royal could soon sort one out.

Das Chin 05-05-2014 08:59 AM

http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u...ps9db72739.jpg

went to brands yesterday to watch mate race in saloon cup awesome action.

put some new bolts and nuts around engine bay to tidy up (things like headlight holder nuts that always rust)

http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u...psc431cf57.jpg

200 Cell CATS are back on. bit quieter, less free at top end but car no longer stinks of fuel. it used to go like a stabbed rat after 4k rpm with no cats to block and induction roar was much louder. its not a track car so back to OEM.

shimmy 05-05-2014 09:55 AM

Nick

Looks great for an old dog.

Can you post up the part numbers for bolts/screws and hand real items. I need same!

Das Chin 15-05-2014 08:37 PM

oil n filter change today as was over a year old. thanks to Scotts Performance in Dartford.

http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u...ps14adcbe1.jpg

was not too bad a colour and only 2k miles old:

http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u...ps7c378855.jpg

guess where my finger has been :hahaha:

car took around 6.5 liters of Castrol TWS (10/60) to get it to the 1.0 marker on the measurement. does that sound about right?

Interior trim back to OEM colour (titan Shadow)
