Isn't that restriction only for Named Components though ? At least for annual, I think the Comp cover is unlimited, whereas for NC it is limited to the price of the car.

I have got paperwork but I doubt any insurance policy gives you unlimited cover. I seem ro recall Comp and Named were limited to price you paid for your car (you have to show receipt on big claims) and Driveline to £5k.
