I do like Lambos you car looks cool
|
Had the car to BMW service today removed every fluid and changed them for new. I had the technicians in a flap, many had never seen a CSL let alone one that had done 900 odd kms.
Now what to do about tyres as it rains a lot here in Melbourne...perhaps just drive it on sunny days but tyres are 7 years old and despite lack of use are probably past their use by date. |
Go out and finish the cups......... then replace with fresh cups
|
Bin them, they will be past their best. Buy another set of wheels and have one set with cups, and one set with normal road tyres.
|
Who does the best replica CSL wheels real ones cost way too much down under and much better to kerb the cheapies.
|
I fitted a front pair of part worn '7 year old' Cup tyres at the Spa track day recently (they were removed from a new CSL back in 2003).
Although they felt hard, they did perform surprisingly well after some warming  |

I plan to head out end of this year, any advise, website etc. would be a huge help guys?? Thanks |
Well you won't have any problems on what I have read then....I assume its RHD...no duty just need to apply and that should be that.
That will mean 27 minus 3 plus 1 = 25 cars in the country!!!;) |
All you need to kow is contained in the general information section, part 5 personal imports.

Which Melbourne dealership did you go to? I've got a good BMW technician friend that moved over to work in Melbourne last year - highly recommend him if you take in your CSL (he's familiar with them too as he used to work on mine on some occassions)
