Hi,
AlexGTT - Some Therapy for You. Here is a Pic of the Fezza at Jerez, 'leased' from another Forum showing the set up at Jerez, where it was working very well but apparently heating up the Tyres to much. Moving it forward ala MaClaren for the max of the 'coanda' effect is the way the rummor mill is suggesting they will more than likely go. If the High Nose stays for 2013 then I doubt there will be anybody running a Pull rod front. Regards, The Gorilla |

I remember seeing these images on F1 Technical. That set up burnt the bodywork quite badly and you can see some extreme heat damage to the inside edge of the Ferrari's rear tyres.

Hi,
Looks like the ''Rain'' might be helpful this weekend after all if it vears over Hockenheim. http://www.dtm.com/en/News/DTM-seaso...di-on-top.html Regards, The Gorilla. |
OK, this thread hs gone on quite long enough without an E30 M3 picture:finga:

Wow! Thats an awesome build! Quite an interesting wing though??
Is that sequential gearbox you got in there?? Well done!! |
Hi,
Quote- ''............''Quite an interesting wing though?? Is that sequential gearbox you got in there??'' Rear Wing is same as the ITC Rear wing that was used in various designs by E30 M3 / Merc 190 Klasse 1 / Alfa etc in DTM and ITC 93 onwards. Weighs only 3kg complete and creates 75% more areo / downforce than the E30 M3 even with large DTM Gurney flap. The Drenth Sequential has been removed and replaced with a Getrag. Sequential is awesome on Track and an absolute nightmare anywhere else. Not only that the Drenth DG 400 drives via the 6th Gear so every 2000 km its rebuild time. Not a problem when Racing but makes for expensive Track Day time where nothing counts. The Final evolution of the Car is being pieced together at the moment with even a move to ''4 Pots'' in the engine bay etc. Regards, The Gorilla. |
Thanks for the info! Seems like an awesome machine....! I can understand the swop for Getrag... rebuilding the sequential so often must be a costly nightmare...
I'm amazed that the wing only weighs 3KG and yet its capable of adding so much downforce! Real work of art that! Down here we never got the E30 M3...however my other toy is an E30 325is Turbo...Makes 450WHP.... I love e30's...they will always be a part of my garage! One day....some how....I will own an E30 M3. Love them to bits....and a race version like yours...I'd die for !! |

Hardly a measure of success as the original could be rubbish! |
