Would have said that 2 months ago but cheapest private sale in the clssifieds at the moment is 25K....prices seemed to have firmed up again...lets hope anyway.

Prices for CSLs have dropped approx 3-4000 in the last 6 months which considering they hardly dropped for 2.5 years before that, is not bad depriciation. 03 and 53 plate cars continue to sell around 2000-3000 less than 04 plates. There have been lots of panic seller over the past 6 months who have bought the market down to perhaps where it will sit for a little while as standard M3 drop further away. When I started selling CSL 4 year ago I was valueing them at only £5000 more than a normal M3 SMG with full spec. CSLs remain one of the best non depreciating cars available and for the money you wont find much else thats better balanced or give you as much back until you get upwards of £60000. I think thats why low mileage cars will always be around the £30-35000 mark and sub 50k cars probably wont dip below £20000 even in three of four years time. The new M3 wont affect this car because its simply not as involving to drive and doesnt look as good(personal opinion having had a new M3). ALSO check the prices out for these abroad. They are all around the 35000-50000 euro mark . I have had three enquiries in the past month from people wanting to convert RHDs to LHDs. I would imagine its too costly and am advising the people not to but if anyone knows where I might get a quote then please contact me. Me thinks Simpson Motor Sport ??Nick

Its a mad market out there with such massive depreciation in such a short time.

430 @ 69k
996tt @ 29k
Gallardo @ 60k
AMV8 @ 45k

but CSLs have done really well with minimal depreciation and pricing staying pretty standard over the last month or so.

Long may it last.

Bravo Nick I say  When owners need to shift and start adverising for 22kish then buyers believe all should be at that price. There's a chap on PistonHeads wanting a CSL but has said it must be at Credit Crunch price as cash waiting.......Looking at whats for sale I don't think there is a 'credit crunch' price with CSL's...
