Right ill probably regret this for life but here goes.....

2004 SG M3 CSL
49,500 Miles (Currently in storage, so wont change)

Full (Zero Excess) BMW Warranty, Until june 2013
5 Owners (but need to check V5 to confirm)

All the usual CSL options.
- Business CD
- Parking sensors
- Xenon headlights
- Climate control

Modifications:
- Red AP brakes front and rear.
- Supersprint lightweight race exhaust

Other info....

She just had her big Inspection 2 at Elms in February this year. So oil service due in Feb 2014. (Only done approx 3k miles since) Gareth gave her a good check over and green light for her health.
Also in Feb Backdraft Motorsport fitted new PF Discs and new Pagid RS29's (Front)
New Mich Supersports also fitted around the same time.

I have a comprehensive file stacked with receipts for services, mots, and the odd minor warranty claims.

Ive owned her for 2 years and its been nothing but a pleasure. No mechanical issues and no accident damage. (Two of the previous owners are on PGT, one being a detailer) I viewed 5 other CSL (One having 15k miles less) before I bought this one.

Only reason for sale is its looks like ill be overseas for the next 2-3 years and she simply wont get used.

She's armourfended to the front but has the usual minor stone chips that CSL's suffer from and a small area (50p piece) of hairline cracks from a stone on track. (Front carbon flippers were replaced approx 12 months ago)
If I end up keeping ill probably remove the armour and get a front respray done. Up to the potential buyers though, some like to see tarted up... Im probably painting a bad picture, dont be put off. I always get comments of what a clean example she looks. Just trying to be honest :-D

In summary its a genuine example, well looked after, mechanically sound with good mileage. Obviously she's been on track, (don't be fooled by these 'put back to standard, and never tracked :-D examples!!) ive done 4 days in two years, but looked after to compensate.

Im sure ive probably missed something so any questions just ask.

If no interest im happy to keep.
To add its only advertised here at the moment until I'm in the UK.

Would consider PX for a VO 1M....

Thanks for looking
Ian

I can vouch 110% for this car its a beauty. Apart from being in great condition its also an extremely healthy motor very quick. Ians spent loads keeping on top if it also so a perfect CSL for somebody. If I wasnt buying a bloody house with the mrs I wouldnt hesitate.:bigcry:

I know I know :bigcry: ...and ill probably never find another like it (spec etc)

I really don't want to sell (or need to tbh) But the guilt and hassle of having too cars sitting there not being used is too much. I now G.A.Y :gayfight:

IIRC you were at Croft tuther year?

If so this car has a nice strong engine, it definitely had lots more grunt than Duncans did that day down the straights:thumbs:

Yeah that was me. and I was at Donny earlier in the year too when you were black flagged for noise in the datsun. :banghead:

A few people have commented on how strong she is, Toenheel has a Boxster Spyder and its quite a bit quicker than that.

Forgot to put in the add she has the Factory De-limit Option from new.

Thats half the problem I don't need to sell, if I did Im sure it would far easier. It took me three weeks to build the courage to put the add up :bigcry:

Spyder had very little miles on when we compared and scout tent was on but I couldn't get over how quick this CSL was in a straight line it's definetly a good lump. Changing that bloody standard exhaust on the CSL has to make a big difference it's soooo heavy.

If you do not need to sell it don't. Nothing wrong with two cars sitting there waiting for a good spanking.

If im honest...is the RS worth 30k+ more than a CSL for fun factor. No probably not.

The same could be said for any car in reality though.

Its all relative I suppose, as my brother had as much fun on trackdays as I did in a car we got for free, as I did in my CSL. In fact he probably had more fun as he drove it 100% to the limit as there was 0 worry if he crashed.

Do the standard exhaust & brakes come with the car ?

EVLXGE

I have the standard exhaust but the AP's were fitted when I bought it so no standard brakes. They are crap anyway.

we talking about the same friend? not another csl around here, getting more common than saxo's

i shouldn't be saying this as personally evlxge should be keeping this and i know deep down he feels the same :smokin: but for anybody after a csl this is where your money should be going. seen the car a fair few times and its as described and stunning :smt055

Has this sold? Deposit taken? Everyone banging on about prices and people asking for "csl wanted" on here, surely this is a decent example? Has 50k miles put off the "collectors / sub 30k buyers"??

I am sure EVLXGE could have sold the car many times over but it has not been available for viewing due to his work commitments.

Yes apologies I need to update this thread. I had quite a lot of interest, far more than I was expecting. Still overseas, back soon. Hence why no one has viewed.

However as mentioned ive come to my senses and decided to keep at least until a time I need to sell. Cant see me doing more than 500 miles a year in her for the next couple of years so value should stay strong.

Happy hunting folks.

Im wavering a little and considering selling again. Ive only done 1100 miles in it since this add was posted 12 months ago. :big cry:

Im still overseas therefor not available to view at the moment. Its due an oil service in Feb which ill get done when I'm next home.

As much as I love it it seems crazy to keep with such little use. Unless values rocket anytime soon I think ill probably sell.

Im not sure when I'm back in the country as yet but ill contact anyone interested when i am. Maybe a month +.

very nice car fella.

plus you have a 997 RS In orange too. top top motor and what a choice of wheels!!

much as I love the CSL the RS is just an epic machine.

EVLXGE
12-11-2013, 09:09 AM
Thank you. 9 times out of 10 for a sunday morning blast I would take the RS. Hence why the mileage on the CSL this year is so low. Thats not to in anyway put down the CSL, its such a special car and still a bargain at current values. but the GT3 is just that much more of an event.

My other reasoning for selling is next year I maybe in the UK more and using a CSL or RS for general day to day stuff isn't the best idea. Considering a Porsche Macan if prices aren't too crazy. or maybe an M135i.

I had a drive in one last weekend. Good fun and some good deals about even without a lot of negotiation. Had a 118d when the new shape first came out so I'm accustomed to the looks. :)
