Good find Mark although it sounds like a Museum piece, definitely one for the Collectors. You wouldn't dare to actually drive it :bigcry:

...definitely one for the Collectors.

I'd argue that. IMO it should be an optionless one if you really want to add it to a collection.

Who knows. Take a guess. Its certainly a gamble.

I reckon a cheap house right now for 35k will be a better investment.

The CSL might rise slightly in value, but the house will too. But a 35k house will get you £350 a month too:smokin:

Where can you get a 35k house lawsy with 12% yield? That's defo better than in the bank.

I bought a house for 35k. I was going to rent it for £375 a month. Never did, didnt have time for tenants at that time.

Sold it 18 months later for £47k.

Plenty of cheap houses/flats about at the minute, in poor areas. Its just whether you are savvy enough to put up with poor tenants or not.

I used to collect debt from bad tenants for a few people who did'nt like getting there hands dirty, so it wouldnt bother me, whearas others would only go the "legal" route.

Depends if you can be bothered.

Nothing near me for 35k & I hate scum bags so I couldn't deal with the hassle... you are right tho...:notworthy:

We lease my wifes hair/beauty salon so went down the road of buying that but expensive damp issues put a damp'ner on that (excuse the pun)

The legal ruote sucks, I just chuck them out if no payment, only had to do it once so far, wish there was some cheap property near me would get a couple more places.

GT3 better buy at that money, sub 45k CSLs changing hands for around £20-23k so can't see this being worth that much just because it hasn't been driven or has been clocked ;)

LHD, no options will be the one to have if you want to hang on to it for 15 years and make some money (and even then Shane is spot on with property being a better bet IMO). RHD cars compromised from the off, not as designers intended etc etc, so LHD will be the ones to collect, you only have to sit in a RHD one and realise the steering wheel is off to the left rather than near the centre line of the seat to see that it was an after thought.

35k house's near me sadly don't exist :banghead:

House near my old house was rented out then lots of different people were turning up & all hours, few months later raided & wacky backy farm inside!!! House needed 1000's spending to repair damage.

Well £23k before mods are sold and approx £20k after, good buy at that money. E9x better road car IMO and cheaper by the day so the market for CSL getting smaller and pressured by GT3 prices, ultimately GT3 is better car and looking at history I suspect will make money faster than a CSL too if you are that way inclined.

All IMO.

CSL is not an investment.

Its just a sensible buy that you can enjoy for a few yrs and not blow your brains out in depreciation.

The owner is on here, not my place to tell you who but there are a few I know of that have sold for very low 20s and that seems to me to be the point where they make sense.

Pointless paying that much to drive it IMO.

Buy one for under £30k and have same enjoyment. If you put 10k on a 45k miler taking it to 55k. It might still be worth close to the price you paid. Put 10k on the 5k taking it to 15k miles and it's no longer worth 42.5k.

Really ?

I'd expect to make more than 7.5k off 42.5k in 5 years (taking into account maintenance and inflation)

NJ wont keep it because he doesn't own a lot of the cars he sells, he is just selling on behalf of.

Why would you wrap up cash on a car you can't use and only make say £2k a year on it (maybe) when he can buy another car with cash and make £2k a sale every 3-6 months

Nick will be the first person to tell you he can make more money turning it over several times, keeping the cash tied in one car for long periods isnt such a smart thing to do if your a trader and the sole idea is turning cars over and over.
