For sale now is my much loved and beautiful CSL. :bigcry:
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a5/sfh3l/DSC_0154.jpg
The car was first registered on 30th June 2004 and is, as you can see, Silver Grey. Mileage is 49,200 and the car came with factory fitted options as follows:

Xenon headlights, self-levelling and washing system.
Rain Sensor for windscreen wipers
Rear PDC
BMW Business Radio/Single play CD
Automatic Climate Control
Tyre Pressure monitor system (was this standard)

In addition to this, I have also had fitted an iPod interface which allows full track names, artists and playlists to display on the radio (not the cheaper FM transmitter type). Other than this addition, which could easily be reversed, the car is entirely standard and unmolested. (Being the slower SG variant, we have no need for uprated brakes J). It comes complete with compressor, tyre foam canister, first aid kit and warning triangle and has the CSL alcantara document pack, complete.

The car has a full service history (all BMW Dealers and one Thorney Motorsport), including the 1200 mile running-in service and has been serviced exclusively at Murketts by myself and the previous owner. I have the full Extended Warranty package through Mondial and this is transferrable to the new owner on sale. A number of significant items were replaced under warranty prior to my buying the car, notably the gearbox and clutch at 19,000 miles and the differential unit at 20,000. In my time, the car has also had a couple of oil pipes and a replacement rear window owing to heater element failure.

This car has been kept in a dehumidified garage and though used most days, remains in very good condition indeed. It has one stone chip to the front right wheel-arch and a bruise to the front bumper cover, a few small stone chips to the front bumper and one very lightly curbed wheel, but is otherwise as close to perfect as makes no odds. The carbon interior panels, so often damaged are all perfect, as is the roof and rear diffuser. The front flippers have a few small chips to their lacquer but nothing at all significant. The seats are perfect (cloth and rear faces) and the steering wheel exceptional, with no greasy spots or significant bobbles (it too had been replaced not long before I bought the car). The car has been heavily waxed since I have owned it, with zymol/swissol keeping the paint gleaming.

I have the (clear) HPI report from when the previous owner purchased the car in August 2006 and also BMW’s own Vehicle History Certificate from June of that year, also clear. I also have the full warranty claims report from Sept 2006, detailing every piece of warranty work completed prior to that time. I also have all MOT’s, showing mileage as 16,537 in June 06, 21,176 in June 07, 22,618 in June ’08, 24,193 in June ’09, 34,547 in June ’10 and 43,524 in August 2011 (yes, I forgot!).

This car drives exceptionally well on its nearly-new Michelin Pilot Super-Sports (all round) and has never wanted for anything in maintenance terms. I have never tracked it, nor had the previous owner (that covers the past 6 or 7 years), but I cannot vouch for what happened before that. Always warmed up carefully, this car does not use any oil, with the display remaining resolutely on 0.7 or 0.8 litres between services.

Tax runs till end of March 2013 and the car has 2000 miles to go till an oil service, with MOT due in August.

Needless to say, this is a very reluctant sale. I feel it getting increasingly difficult to justify using this car every day, but equally don’t really want to retain it and not use it. I have a number of other ‘play’ cars and therefore the time has come to move on to something less extreme and licence-threatening for daily use.

Price to CSL Reg: £25,250 ovno. - more elsehwere

OK, so I now have a deposit and have done the deal. CSL will be off to a new home as soon as the balance comes through:bigcry:

Selling a car like this is a wierd thing - if ever the saying 'be careful what you wish for' were true, this would be it!

Thanks for all the kind wishes and I hope you don't mind if I stay on here as a 'lurker', so long as I promise not to insult SMG II again :hahaha:

I said goodbye to the CSL this evening :(
I know that it has gone to a good home, but can't help wondering whether I've done the right thing. Seller's remorse is as strong as buyer's!
Good luck Jon, I know you'll enjoy the car
