Hmmm think Mark or Jay had posted something up about it ... ?

Will have a dig around, I brought some cleaner and a brush, ended up scratching the bloody wheel, as im shit with all things like that, so just got another wheel, that I alternate with the other one, and get it re-trimmed when it wears down ;)

1. Give it a shave with a razor or Remington 'fuzz-away' to remove bobbling. Don't get too carried away with the razor though!

2. Using diluted Meguiars APC (All Purpose Cleaner) or an Alcantara specific cleaner, dab/pat the steering wheel with a clean cloth or sponge taking care not to wet it too much and not rubbing excessively. You can use a soft bristle brush to agitate if required.

3. Air the car to aid drying...

I need to pay attention to this thread too as I'm think I'm on number 3 or 4 at least.

I bought one of those JML Bobble offs and it does a great job, but where it's shiny, I would like to get it back to as near new as possible obviously.

First thinkdont get it dirty. Sweaty dirty hands make it ruin!

I cleaned mine with that citrus cleaner then smoothed it with sandpaper. 74k miles and still original. (only thing that bloody is!)

Mine have never bobbled

They just get shiny and smoth over time wherever they are commonly held

Raceglaze Alcantara cleaner (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/raceglaze-alcantara-cleaner.html)

I bought some of this stuff on your recommendation.... and feck me it works well. I couldn't believe the amount of sweaty, greasy mank that I, errr, rubbed off. Even more unpleasantly, I think most of it belonged the the car's previous owners :vom: :vom: :vom: :smt078Will definitely wear rubber gloves next time.
