Was cleaning the daily milemuncher at the weekend (not been cleaned for about 3 months!), and I've got some really annoying small black deposits on the alloys and on the front wing behind the front wheel. I soaked the alloys with alloy wheel cleaner and kept scrubbing them, but I couldn't get the sodding things off - they seem to have welded themselves on.
Is there a special detailing chemical for getting these off the bodywork / wheels.

80 sand paper seems to shift it.
