They were geting replaced if the car had its 3 year warranty but not sure about extended warranty.

Gastro, if you are planning to try and get your local BMW dealer to fit the steering wheel, all I can say is that when I tried, because I had not sourced it through them (Halliwell Jones in Warrington), even though they ackowledged it was a genuine BNIB part, they would not fit it even though the car was in for a service anyway!

Hope you have better luck if you are planning on requesting the same! :beer:
