Expensive game this racing malarky:bigcry:

Brought the M3 to compete in the CSL cup with Radders, found out it wouldnt go in my 7.5t racetruck, we looked for a suitable truck up to £30kish, but believe it or not I couldnt find anything, either taillift wouldnt lift the M3, the garage werent big enough, not enough beds and so on.. so I decided the only way was to find a truck (Scania), damaged caravan and a coach builder and build our own from scratch

Should be finished end of this month, 8 berth 2x LCD tvs, xbox, LED lighting, onboard silent genny, 250ltr water tanks, 500 litre fuel tank, 200litre petrol tank (to fill the M3 up from), chequer plated garage and so on.... some pics so far :smokin:

Agreed, and you wont go far wrong with Scania either. What have you done to that caravan!?!?:hahaha:

Certainly one of the best ways of doing it.

Certainly one of the best ways of doing it.

I think so, its to our exact spec and will work out cheaper than buying a completed high spec Scania. Our guy built this one..you'l; recognize the steps!

Are you leaving the rear axle where it is Hazy? seems to have a lot of sweep on the back end! wouldnt make too many sharp turns alongside anything !:hahaha:

Dont you start!!

Radders has already been on at me!
I will have to be careful with the swing, but its no longer than your average coach, I think the rear chassis were stretched from new to accomodate the unusually long body (30ft) which carried light but bulky stuff (bog roll etc :D)

A normal 27ft body would have only given about 11ft for living..not enough IMO

Small world - I used to do business with MST (previous owners of the truck) before they were bought over last year

CSL Cup is shaking up to be a cracking one this year - Thorney, I hope you've got more space for all our trailers because Castle Combe in particular last year was a bit of a tight squeeze!

Thorney

I have to say (I'm not counting my chickens yet) but we could even have a 20 car grid for first race. Fingers crossed.

on the home run now, interior all done bar some bits of trimming, just needs a clean and the upholstery adding, lighting is all 240v (via 2000w inverter backed up by the onboard genny, which has its own 200ltr tank which will also double as fuel storage for the M3 via a pump, two 250 ltr water tanks (one waste), the essential beer fridge (low wattage runs off the inverter, two LCD tellys with built in freeview. Coach style lift up locker doors (two left to be fitted tomorrow, garage chequer plated top to bottom with LED spots set in, tyre rack for 12+ wheels. Really just the panellng between the lockers, tail-lift and paint to do...

Shame as I wanted to pop along for this one. Do you know whether they run the full international or Island circuit?
