Hi guys,
Yesterday I spent 6 hours in my parking, 'detailing' my CSL.
I used the following products (not very expensive, but quite good for an amateur like me).
- Meguiar's NXT Generation® Car Wash
http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+NXT+18
- Meguiar's Smooth Surface® Clay Kit
http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G1016
- Meguiar's NXT Generation® Tech Wax® 2.0
http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G12718
(in CH they are much more expensive).
It was my first time using clay, but I am really impressed and pleased with the result.
It's not very difficult to achieve a good result.
I will get some pics of the car when the weather is better. The CSL is covered inside the parking now.

Pictures...
I started to do mine today, now using a Zymol Titanium wax which is stunning, I loved applying it by hand! lol
Got lots left to do and also need to do some paint correction, not sure how to approach this yet, quite like doing things myself and I have a mate who has a Megs G220 machine, might buy some products and borrow it for a weekend :)
Get some pics up Alex!

Will post pics guys.
The parking is dark and outside is snowing the last 4-5 days... so I don't want to make it dirty again.

Goodyears are OK, will use em again no doubt ... mind you as winters look like getting worse might opt for a proper winter one next time... as for most part im on cups for a long as I can get away with ...
Just playing about with the mirrors .. mate's company had some new carbon vinyl in so used an off cut to try when I popped in for tea ( as you do ) .. liked so gonna do em properly when we have the time in a week or so.. as he is doing the roof on his 911 with it..

Looks good, nice and subtle on the black. Do they have it in glossy aswell or just the matte stuff?

Good idea about full Winter tyres for your CSL since you're running yours as a daily driver though it might be quite expensive getting them in the 19" sizes. Might be cheaper to get a full set of E46 M3 18" s/hand wheels and bung the winter tyres on these instead. Just a thought
I was thinking of getting my mirrors wrapped in CF too but would prefer the glossy CF finish, to match the roof. Can U get the other mirror wrapped in that and send me some pix  Pleeeez

It's snowing every day mate... I don't want to take it you to make it dirty just to get some photos..
I bought my wheels from rimstyle www.rimstyle.com (http://www.cslregister.com/forum/www.rimstyle.com)
Around 1500 GBP. Excellent service.
PS: I will buy one more set for my Mrs' car
Thanks Alex, I wouldn't ask you to get it dirty! ;) lol
£1500 isn't that bad, not as much as I was expecting for sure! Did you go for OEM Offset and wheel size?

CSL wheels are lighter, but the price for the CH is very good, they look awesome and they are very good quality.

I like the BBS CH - nearly bought a set last year.
If i was looking for new wheels now i would rather pay an extra £500 and buy a set of Rays wheels as they are a little lighter at least and rarer. ;)

I was expecting 2k+ for the BBS wheels, I do also like the Le Mans a lot :smokin:
BBS seems a nice classic but cool wheel for BMW's ;)

You have a point Rob, but I was looking for a nice looking set of wheels for the winter.
I would feel bad to see the Rays covered in salt.
Maybe later, I will get a third set only for the track and I think Rays are perfect (or the BBS E88...).
Yes the BBS CH have a good price, unlike the BBS LM.
