Hi guys,

Car needs a cleanup really, just wanted to know whats the best way (take care of the paint really) to wash my car if I cant do it myself at my house?

I know that the automatic car wash are a NO-NO

Hand car wash by a local place aswell im not a fan of...

I was thinking of going to those places where you put coins and it activates a jet then you clean it yourself. (not sure what its called in english)

Am I right?

We call it a "Jet Wash" not to be confused with "Scratch-O-Matick" and it's probably the safest way to get grime off yourself. Failing that get Gleemin Kleen on the case

Why can't you do it yourself at home?

I don't have access to a water supply so I've had to buy ONR solution (a no rinse, waterless wash). All you then need is a bucket of water to carry and your microfibres.

seen this product at the scottish motor show couple of years ago, they had just cleaned several million pounds worth of display cars at the show with no water

Swift, buy yourself some buckets with grit guards, shampoo and a lambswool washmitt, go to your local garage that has a jet wash and use that to fill the buckets and rinse the car. But PLEASE DONT USE their brush on the car as it will be full of grit and dirt.

If you want to make the 20 min journey to mine your more than welcome to use my gear:thumbs:

Now that's the best suggestion yet. Provided the one in red doesn't scratch the paint with her belly button ring. ;)

I think I'll take you up on that Jay! My knowledge of cleaning cars is quite poor!!! I was planning on doing a jetwash now and detail in January...

Cheers.
